For the University's 30th anniversary we commissioned 4 artists living or working in Sunderland to make a limited edition print. This is a limited edition print of 15 using high quality 320gsm archival fine art paper. Size 42 x 46cms. The print is signed, dated and numbered by the artist.
Cast of singers in order (roughly) of appearance from 3.30am to 5.00am: Redstart; Robin; Song Thrush; Blackbird; Woodpigeon; Swallow; Wren; Great Tit; Blue Tit; Treecreeper; Dunnock; Chiffchaff; Nuthatch; Blackcap; Spotted Flycatcher; Goldcrest; Chaffinch; Goldfinch; Greenfinch; Mistle Thrush. Notations inspired by early medieval notations were created using Geoffrey Sample’s recordings in collaboration with Bennett Hogg. Thanks to Tom Jordan for the digital work.
